北京师范大学附属实验中学创建于1917年 (1902 considering its former
school name)，从建校之初到现在一直是(As the affiliated
High school for Beijing Teachers University, it is established in
1917, one of the most famous High Schools in China)
中国最有名望的中学之一，她的艺术教育在中国中学校中也是首屈一指的。(Arts Education in
BTU-HS is first rate)
学校大学升学率为100%，近年来还有不少学生考入世界一流大学，如美国的哈佛大学、普林斯顿大学、哥伦比亚大学等；英国剑桥大学、日本早稻田大学等。

学校在艺术体育教育等多方面获得过各类北京市及全国性比赛奖项，并获得“第29届世界青少年游泳锦标赛团体总分第一名”（2007年）。作为中国外交部对外宣传的窗口学校，实验中学接待过很多国际友人的来访，其中来访的著名美国友人有：(Arts

演出团组成：民乐团学生6名+合唱团学生60多名+舞蹈团学生近20名
民乐团

中国民乐作为中国传统文化的集中体现，在世界舞台上享有盛誉。弘扬中国古典艺术，展现民族文化的独特魅力，是民乐团成立的宗旨。几年来，民乐教学成果显著，得到了社会与家长的一致好评。民乐团坚持将传统文化融入乐团表演的节目当中，学生们在演出、排练与欣赏演出的过程中自然而然地学习到中国古代文化和中华少数民族的文化。学习并传播中华民族音乐，增强学生的民族自豪感。(Historical

合唱团

2008年7月27日，实验中学合唱团师生55人，参加了2008年北京奥运会的奥运村开村仪式与中国运动员入村仪式。合唱团同学在奥运村开村仪式上演唱了“同心结”活动主题曲――《心连心》，他们用纯净、美妙的歌声表达了中国青少年对奥运精神的理解，表达了中国青少年对和平、友谊、进步的呼唤。(On

舞蹈团
(Dance Group 20 members)北师大附属实验中学金帆舞蹈团，是一个在北京市小有名气的一流的学生舞蹈团，它在艺术教育领域取得了优异的成绩，多次获得北京市、区舞蹈比赛一等奖，是北京市教委授予的“金帆舞蹈团”。舞蹈团曾出访美国、欧洲等地，演出均受各界好评。我们的宗旨是：继承和创新中国传统舞蹈艺术，延续民族文化，创作演出不同题材、不同风格、不同民族的舞蹈。用我们当代青少年优美婆娑的舞姿、用我们对文化独到的理解和诠释，让世界了解中国、了解中国的文化。(Famous
